The Plastic Cycle

On average, each Vietnamese citizen disposes of approximately 62kg of plastic waste per year, totaling about 6.2 million tons nationwide. The majority of this waste is either buried or incinerated with only a fraction being sorted for recycling. The Vietnamese government has recently taken robust measures to combat plastic waste pollution. However, due to limited resources, Vietnam greatly needs the collective efforts of the private sector and international organizations

To address this pollution issue, VietCycle and the Alliance to End Plastic Waste (AEPW) are collaborating on the implementation of “The Plastic Cycle” project from December 2022 to August 2023. This marks the beginning of our joint efforts to implement a Circular Solution in Vietnam.
