Within the framework of the project “Low-Value Plastic Waste Circularity” implemented by VietCycle and the Alliance to End Plastic Waste (AEPW), hundreds of new bicycles are being handed over to Green Warriors belonging to the XanhNét Circular Ecosystem.

In Vietnam, the indispensable “companion” for informal waste collectors is the old bicycle. Every day, they tirelessly travel 9-10 hours on the road, collecting and carrying a green future, bringing waste into the cycle of reuse. Some bicycles, even decades old, are still diligently in service. Understanding these silent hardships, the Project decided to support the provision of new bicycles for these workers.
The first handover ceremony was held in Hanoi with the participation of 175 Green Warriors. Everyone was unable to hide their joy and excitement, sending many sincere thanks to the Project and the Alliance. It is hoped that this new “companion” will be stronger and more resilient, just like the sustainable support of VietCycle and AEPW.

The journey of the new bicycles won’t stop there. The project will continue to expand support for bicycles and health insurance,… for the Green Warriors in Ho Chi Minh City in the near future. Once again, we would like to thank AEPW for their trust and companionship. This is an important milestone on our journey towards civilized Vietnam with waste!
