On the afternoon of October 25, 2022, Mr. Hoang Duc Vuong – a representative of VietCycle Corporation was present to celebrate with award-winning journalists at the award ceremony “Mitigating marine plastic debris” in Hanoi.
Among the works that won the Press Prize “Mitigating marine plastic debris” 2022, VietCycle was honored to receive the prizes for two interviews of Mr. Hoang Duc Vuong – the company’s president:
- Second prize: “Resolving difficulties to develop the plastic recycling industry” by Nguyen Thi Hanh – Pham Hong Manh of from Capital Youth Electronic Newspaper (in the interview about Vietnam’s nascent recycling industry).
- Consolation prize: Series: How do Vietnamese enterprises prepare for mandatory recycling and collection tools? by Pham Ngoc Son from TheLEADER Journal (part 2 – sharing about the recycling industry with great expectations on EPR tools).
In addition, we also shared the happiness with other press units and journalists who have made great efforts in conveying information about the environment in general and on reducing plastic pollution in particular.
Taking photos with 2 units of Tuoi Tre Newspaper and TheLEADER, Mr. Hoang Duc Vuong shared more wishes for long-term companionship in the future. These are the first successful steps to raise public awareness about marine plastic pollution as well as the difficulties of the plastic recycling industry. VietCycle is always ready to accompany press and TV units to further convey meaningful messages to create a green future and spread the love of nature and the love of people to the community.
The press award on “Mitigating marine plastic debris” in 2022 was organized by VTC News in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP – Vietnam), the World Wide Fund (WWF – Vietnam), and the Project Management Unit on “Mitigating marine plastic debris in Vietnam” – Vietnam Administration of Seas and Islands.
