VietCycle awarded the Women’s Union of Long Bien District “Sorted trash can” at the launching ceremony of the “Civilized – Safe – Effective Market” model.

On the morning of September 29, 2023, representatives of VietCycle Corporation Company attended the launching ceremony of the “Civilized – Safe – Effective Market” model implementing the Code of Conduct in public places in Long Bien districts with the campaign of “Capital Women Behave Beautifully” in 2023 was launched by the District Women’s Union in collaboration with the Department of Economics and held at Thuong Thanh market, Thuong Thanh ward and Kim Quan market, Viet Hung ward.

At the ceremony, a representative of VietCyle Company presented and introduced the “Segregated trash” model under the project “Circulating low-value plastic waste in Long Bien District”. With the desire to change the perception of each citizen in sorting waste at source, while aiming at a low-value waste collection model, VietCycle coordinated and guided small businesses at Thuong Thanh market and Kim Quan market about waste sorting meets the criteria of “Civilized commercial market, food safety”.

According to the assessment and appraisal of the interdisciplinary delegation, Thuong Thanh market was recognized by the District People’s Committee as meeting the criteria of “Civilized commercial market, food safety”, with the work of arranging and well implement the rules of trading activities at the market. Market management units are conscious of strictly complying with the provisions of law in managing and collecting service prices at the market in accordance with regulations and publicly posting.

Strengthening and promoting the “Civilized – Safe – Effective Market” model, combined with training instructions on “Segregating waste at source” will contribute to upgrading infrastructure and raising awareness of not only small businesses doing business in the market area but also every citizen ensures that they meet the requirements of food safety, environmental sanitation, and commercial civilization.
