On the morning of June 30, 2023, VietCycle Joint Stock Company supported and accompanied the People’s Committee of Hoan Kiem District in the Meeting to respond to the Environment Action Month, World Environment Day and World Oceans Day 2023.
VietCycle members participated at the meeting
Agree on the issue of plastic pollution causing adverse impacts on health, the economy and the environment. Since 2023, VietCycle has been accompanying the People’s Committee of Hoan Kiem District for each citizen to practice specific actions and jobs to reduce plastic waste.
Within the framework of the Meeting, Hoan Kiem District People’s Committee coordinated with units to carry out many activities such as exchanging garbage for gifts, planting trees to clean up garbage in the vicinity of the Red River bank of Chuong Duong ward. VietCycle contributed a small gift to volunteers, students and people in the area. All together taking small actions for big changes.
On the other hand, VietCycle co-contributed to the common spirit of eliminating plastic waste through the project “The circular economy model of low-value plastic waste in Hoan Kiem District”. Implemented from March 2023 until now, the project has established an informal collection network to purchase low-value plastic waste in the district. As of the end of June, the project has collected 37.9 tons from both formal and informal systems. It is expected that by the end of July 2023, the project will collect and recycle 50 tons of low-value plastic waste.
