VietCycle attended the Long Bien District Women’s Festival for creative startups

On the afternoon of October 14, 2023, to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women’s Union and the 20th anniversary of the founding of Long Bien district, representatives of VietCycle Corporation attended the Long Bien Women’s Festival event for creative startups, a unique arts festival at Savico Long Bien Shopping Center is organized by the Women’s Union of Long Bien District.

Attending the festival were Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy, Standing Vice President of the Hanoi Women’s Union; Mr. Ngo Manh Diem, Standing Deputy Secretary of Long Bien District Party Committee; Ms. Vu Thi Thanh, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long Bien district; Ms. Dinh Thi Thu Huong, Vice Chairwoman of Long Bien District People’s Committee. There were also the attendance of officials, women members and people of Long Bien district.

Representatives of the Long Bien District Leadership Board, representatives of the Women’s Union of Long Bien District and representatives of the Women’s Unions of the wards in the district.

Opening the festival, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy, Standing Vice President of the Hanoi Women’s Union, emphasized the importance of developing and preserving traditional values that come from the creativity of women, thereby contributing a significant part of their efforts to create the core values of the economy, politics, social culture of the district and city in particular and the country in general.

Implementing the project to support women in the Capital to start businesses, in 2023, the Women’s Union of Long Bien District has deployed training courses and supported knowledge on information technology application, digital transformation and e-commerce services for 450 female entrepreneurs and women startups. In particular, supporting 45 women to start businesses and startups; Vocational training for 1,135 female workers and helping 70 economically disadvantaged households headed by women to improve their living standards through measures such as vocational training, job placement and capital loans.

At the festival, representatives of VietCycle Corporation participated in the process of visiting and evaluating 14 booths displaying recycled products from plastic waste, demonstrating the creativity, talent and ingenuity of the Women’s Union levels in Long Bien district. Ms. Tran Thi Viet Hoa, Vice President of the Women’s Union of Long Bien District, said that she appreciates the value of unique and meaningful recycled products, which not only have practical application, but through which the recycling of daily household products also reduces plastic waste into the environment, together building Long Bien district into a green, clean, beautiful, civilized and modern urban area.

Continuing the festival’s activities are cultural performances carefully and professionally prepared by the Women’s Unions of wards in Long Bien district, contributing to creating an exciting atmosphere, emulating labor, production, and good work, contributing to the excellent completion of local tasks.
